Live at the BBC è il terzo album live di Dire Straits pubblicato nel 1995, l'anno in cui la band si sciolse ufficialmente. I primi sette brani sono stati registrati il 22 luglio 1978 per "the BBC Live in Concert series" negli studi della BBC mentre l'ottavo, Tunnel of love, è stato registrato per il programma televisivo della BBC "The Old Grey Whistle Test" il 31 gennaio 1981.

L'album contiene l'inedito What's the Matter Baby? scritta da Mark Knopfler con suo fratello David.
